Guy Architects & Engineers is seeking a detailed-oriented & strategic Marketing/Proposal Writer to join our team in Yellowknife, NT. This role plays a key part in creating compelling proposals, marketing content, & client-facing communications that support business development efforts. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer & editor, able to transform technical or complex content into clear, persuasive & engaging material.

Responsibilities

• Lead & support the development of proposals in response to Request for Qualifications & Request for Proposals

• Collaborate with technical teams to develop compliant & compelling responses

• Write & edit proposal content, project descriptions, resumes, & methodology sections

• Coordinate layout & visual content to ensure brand consistency & readability

• Write & edit content for marketing such as brochures, newsletters, website content, & social media posts

• Maintain a library of up-to-date project descriptions, staff resumes, & firm qualifications

• Assist in the development of presentations

• Participate in meetings & contribute to proposal strategy

• Ensure compliance with client requirements, internal brand standards, & deadlines

• Continuously improve proposal templates, processes, & best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field

• 2-5 years of experience in proposal writing, marketing writing, or similar roles

• Strong writing, editing, & proofreading skills with an emphasis on clarity, grammar, & persuasive messaging

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power-Point, Excel)

• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or similar desktop publishing software

Preferred

• Experience with proposals in Architectural and/or Engineering fields

• Experience with writing proposals for the Government of Nunavut & the Government of the Northwest Territories

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines & work in a fast-paced environment
